Jakson’s Power Trusted for Hydroelectric Project

Teesta Hydroelectric Project is all set to play an active and vital role in the hydro power development initiative of the Govt. of India. The power generation potential of the Teesta Basin is estimated 7046 MW of which only 510 MW is presently under development. This 1200 MW (6 x 200MW) project is one of the largest hydro-electric projects in India with 800m head. The project on completion will generate 5183 Gwh in 90% dependable year.

Abir Infrastructure Pvt Ltd (AIPL) is a leading infrastructure developer in India dealing in construction and development of core infrastructure projects. They are actively engaged in the construction of Civil and Structural works for Hydro Power projects including Roads, Bridges, Head Race Tunnels, Dams, Underground Power Houses etc. They are currently involved in the execution of Teesta Hydro Electric Power project in Sikkim.  

Jakson’s team worked in close co-ordination with Abir Infrastructure to understand the requirement for Teesta Hydroelectric Project and deliver a near perfect solution. There were dedicated efforts from the technical and the marketing teams that successfully resulted in winning this order.  The order of 5x500, 2x320, 3x125 DG sets and 5x500 Special Synchronizing Panels has been executed effectively.

Achievement for Jakson at Education Industry Major

Amity University is the leading education group in the country with over 50,000 students studying across 700 acres of hi-tech campus. It provides world-class facilities like air-conditioned amphitheatre style classrooms, hi-tech labs and many more which also include 100% power-backup for campus conveniences. Jakson has received a prestigious order from Amity to provide power solutions for its Noida and Lucknow campuses.

Traditionally Amity had not been a Jakson customer. Due to an enhanced technical proposal highlighting the advantages of Jakson- Cummins DG sets Jakson was favored against competing  brands. Jakson achieved this breakthrough and successfully executed an order for 2x750 kVA for Noida and 2x600 kVA for Lucknow campuses successfully.

Residential Users Take the First Step Towards ‘Super Silence’

Impacted by the global and domestic pollution levels, the country is experiencing dramatic attitude shift in terms of opting for products that deliver ecological value. Rapid urbanization has resulted in considerable increase in the use of energy and fuel, consequently polluting the atmosphere through increased noise level and release of toxic emissions. This situation motivated us to bring about a fundamental reorientation in product development and hence we introduced the Super Silent range.

The need for new Super Silent DG Sets has been felt in a variety of markets like Residential, Education, Defense, Health Care, etc. The market for residential segment actively picked up on the launch and has become the first segment to invest in the solution. The new Super Silent was first made available in Bhubaneswar and will shortly be installed for a residential application of 2x50kVA. Additionally an order of 62.5kVA genset has been executed for residential utility of Ex- minister- Jharkhand.

The company has lately established a large production facility in Kalsar, Gujarat spread over 30 acres. With a manifold increase in production capacity the company is ready to meet its customers' increased requirements and aims for increased market share in the coming years.

Jharkhand is working very enthusiastically to host the much awaited 34th National Games and is committed to make it a grand success.  The city of Ranchi in Jharkhand has been chosen to host the games scheduled in November this year. Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif are said to have been appointed as brand ambassadors for the mega event, starting 21 Nov ’09.

The city is being developed to be a one stop facility for hosting national & international meets of highest standards. The work is on to renovate and upgrade the Hockey stadium/Astroturf and Shaheed Birsa Munda Stadium to augment their facilities and make them international class venues. Additionally the city has also planned accommodation for players arriving for the games. A state-of- the-art Games Village has come up just adjacent to the Mega Sports Complex.

Jakson- Cummins are geared to support the city’s infrastructure with their smart power solutions. An order for 6x1250kVA and 3x500kVA has been executed through Simplex Infrastructure- a pioneering infrastructure development company who is developing infrastructure for the games for installation at the games site.  Additionally an order for 6x250kVA, 2x180kVA and 1x160kVA has been executed through Nagarjuna Construction Company Ltd- a leading construction company who is executing the residential complex near the games site.
